Cambria, Cosentino Settle Lawsuit
LE SUEUR, Minn. — Cambria Company LLC and Cosentino Group announced an agreement today settling a patent lawsuit on veining in quartz-surface manufacturing.
No specific terms were available on the settlement of Cambria’s action against Cosentino in the U.S. District Court of the Western DIstrict of Texas, although a news release by Cambria noted that it had been “fully compensated by Cosentino.”
Cambria filed the lawsuit last Sept. 29, seeking damages and an injunction to stop sales of products allegedly infringing on Cambria patents regarding quartz-surface products with veining.
“Through litigation, Cambria has determined that Cosentino’s infringement of its patents, if any, was unintentional,” according to Cambria’s announcement. “As part of the confidential settlement, both parties agree that they will maintain and respect their respective intellectual property rights.”
