Stone Industry Webinars on Covid-19 Continue Through May
OBERLIN, Ohio – The Natural Stone Institute will continue a four-week-long series of webinars on the impacts of Covid-19 with a session for fabricators and installers on Thursday.
Fabricator and Installer Roundtable- Covid-19 will be at 1 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time with a panel of speakers to address business issues arising from issues surrounding the coronavirus and the business slowdown.
Other webinars throughout the month will address concerns of stone distributors, restoration/maintenance businesses, industry suppliers and quarries/producers.
The series began on April 30 with How the Stone Industry is Responding to COVID-19, with more than 130 online participants getting insights from a panel of industry leaders – Brett Rugo of Rugo Stone in Lorton, Va., Katie Jenson of Triton Stone Group in New Orleans, and Scott Byers of Majestic Kitchen and Bath in Raleigh, N.C.
The panelists responded to questions from moderator Jim Hieb, institute CEO, as well as inquiries submitted by the online audience via a text-based chat room. The chat service also served as an informal networking platform for participants to share information and informative URLs.
