Fiandre Set to Produce U.S. Slabs
CHICAGO – Fiandre, part of the Iris Ceramica Group, announces its first U.S. production of marble looks and slabs from its factory in Crossville, Tenn.
The new, Italian-designed Royal Marble porcelain collection will begin rolling off the line in early summer at the company’s plant, which is capable of 100-million ft² production.
The announcement expands Fiandre’s commitment to sustainability issues as the U.S. production will reduce the tile’s carbon footprint offering quicker lead times and increase energy efficiency— all with the same quality and look of Italian-made porcelain.
“This is a significant achievement for Fiandre. Our clients can now reap the benefits of faster lead times and delivery, for a high-end collection of marble-look slabs and shapes,” said Joy Klein, vice president of sales and marketing for Transceramica, Fiandre’s direct-sales division.
Royal Marble is inspired by exquisite marble varieties, highlighted by the signature vein patterns and fine white lines that cut across the surfaces. The material’s versatility allows designers to complement or contrast hues or create distinctive mosaic patterns on floors and walls.
The Royal Marble collection includes six color shades from bright white to deep grey, available in two finishes: polished and honed. The collection is available in six different sizes and two different thicknesses: 120”x60”, 60”x60”, 30”x60” in 6mm thickness and 24”x48”, 24”x24” and 12”x24” in 8mm thickness. Royal Marble colors include: White, Beige, Light, Charcoal, Black and Grey Crosscut.
Royal Marble’s reduced 6 mm thickness offers increased flexibility and is recommended for architectural and commercial projects.
