‘TIME IS STONE’ at Marmomac 2020

 VERONA, Italy — December 2019 – Time will inspire The Italian Stone Theatre, the hall at Marmomac 2020 dedicated specifically to Italian excellence in the natural stone world.

The central theme chosen for this year’s edition is “Time is Stone.” Following Water in 2018 and Nature in 2019, Time is a natural extension of the topics that have characterised Veronafiere’s Hall 1 at recent Marmomac editions.

This concept will stimulate the exhibitions set up under the guidance of curators Raffaello Galiotto, Vincenzo Pavan, Giorgio Canale and Paolo Criveller.

The new Hall 1 was presented to companies from the Verona and Carrara natural stone districts during two meetings held in Verona and at Palazzo Binelli in Carrara. Alongside Elena Amadini, Veronafiere Stone & Design Area exhibition manager, the curators illustrated the overall theme and then presented the exhibitions, as always focusing on Italian stone, machinery and technology companies in collaboration with architects, designers and leading brands in other sectors.

 The traditional exhibition of architecture will be flanked by the appointment with “Percorsi d’Arte – Art Ways” (artists working stone with machinery) and “Brand & Stone 3.0” – furniture-design brands collaborating with companies to create products in natural stone for inclusion in their collections.

Two new exhibitions are also planned, one of which will present young designers using marble and machinery to produce objects or works in stone.

The Wine Bar and the Ristorante d’Autore have also been reconfirmed as two not to be missed events for a well-deserved break from intense trade-fair business.

 Marmomac 2020 will be held at Veronafiere in Verona, Italy, on Sept. 30-Oct. 3.
