CupaClad® Gets Chicago Distributor
PALOS HILLS, Ill. — IBC Advanced Cladding, division of Illinois Brick Company, is the new distributor in the Chicago metroplex for CupaClad®, a natural-slate-rainscreen cladding system that recently entered the North American marketplace.
“We are very excited to be partnering with CupaClad®,” said Nathan Karaway, vice president of Architectural Sales at Illinois Brick Company/IBC Advanced Cladding. “Their approach to educate our team and help IBC launch a market presence has really been positive. Even more exciting, the A&D community has expressed much interest and excitement for a natural slate product such as this.
“These new rainscreen systems are coming into the United States because of the ever-changing energy & building codes. CupaClad®’s natural slate is a high-performance, low maintenance material. It has unique modern colors, is a lightweight system resulting in ease of installation… which offers a countless number of solutions for builders.”
CupaClad® materials are chosen from 16 Spanish quarries of the firm’s parent company, Cupa Pizarras, based in Sobradelo de Valdeorras, Spain. An exacting quality control program ensures that CupaClad® technical properties will ensure exceptional façade performance in any location of the world.
CupaClad and other slate products are offered in the United States through the company’s U.S. facility in Hackensack, N.J.
