Rockhead Group Expands in New England
CLEVELAND – The Rockhead Group USA LLC (RGU) moves north with its newest member, Rumford Stone, located in Bow, N.H.
“Success in our industry doesn’t come cheaply or by chance,” says Rumford’s Vince Trento. “The Rockhead Group presents a unique opportunity to collaborate openly with industry peers in order to refine best practices, share critical operational information and ultimately improve the value of our customer’s experience.

Dr. Dawn Kennedy, RGU CEO credits the rapid growth of the RGU to its commitment to best practices and benchmarking.
“While members stay because of the group’s true value of best practices and benchmarking, the benefits of the buying group cannot be understated, and typically are the first pull towards the group” she said.
The RGU has recently launched an online calculator which can assist potential members in understanding their savings and additional income from its rebate programs. The RGU application does require a member-fit assessment to assure not only participation with other stone-fabrication executives but that each new member brings value to the group and is committed to the organization’s culture of transparency and increasing the standards in the stone-fabrication industry.
The group’s leadership team consists of Eric Tryon (Premier Surfaces); Paul Menninger (Capitol Granite); and Nick Began, Larry Crowley and Jon Kaplan (all of Stoneworks LTD). Menninger, who leads the RGU in its operational effectiveness offerings (benchmarking, process control, quality assurance) insists that active participation in the group is the key to operational improvement.
