NTCA, CTEF Host Tile Certification Event
JACKSON, Miss. – The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) and Ceramic Tile Foundation (CTEF) will run two full days of demonstrations and host a tile installation certification program at the Remodeling Show | DeckExpo | JLC LIVE (R|D|J) show Oct. 6-7 in Baltimore.
During this two-day, cross-discipline show, NTCA trainer/presenter Mark Heinlein and Scott Crothers, CTEF director of training and certification, will complete a total of eight presentations highlighting different aspects of tile installation, complete with live demonstrations.
During the course of the show, two complete floor areas will be prepared, tiled, and finished. Presentations will include:
- Discussion of varying substrates;
- Multiple methods of leveling and preparing substrate for installation: and
- Use and applications of multiple kinds of mortar, grout, and sealants.
In addition, several tile installers will be taking the one-day Certified Tile Installer (CTI) test right on the show floor.
