New Midwest Home for Concrete Countertop Training
RALEIGH, N.C. – The Concrete Countertop Institute (CCI) will conduct its classes in the Chicago area, beginning in March.
The new primary training location will be at Concrete Countertop Supply by Fishstone in Elgin, Ill. The CCI ‘s headquarters, meanwhile, will remain in Raleigh.
“I’m thrilled with this arrangement with Fishstone because they have a perfect facility and are great to work with.,” says Lane Mangum, CCI vice president of business services. “It is a more-central location, and has a major international airport. Students will have better access to new tools and materials, and the opportunity to work personally with one of our recommended vendors.
“Instead of paying expensive shipping costs after the return home from North Carolina, many of our students will now be able to bring the essential supplies home with them from Illinois, right from the class.”
There will be no change in curriculum or instructors. Jeff Girard, CCI president, will continue to personally instruct the classes, held every two to three months.
“I’m not moving to Chicago. It’s too cold!”, Girard jokes. “I will continue my research and article writing from my new shop in Raleigh, and fly to Chicago to do classes.”
Fishstone is located at 1760 Brittania Dr #6 in Elgin.
Classes for this year will commence on March 5. Details are available here and in the Calendar section of Stone Update.
