Cambria Marks 10 Years of English-Language Program
LE SUEUR, Minn. – Cambria recently marked 10 years of helping non-English-speaking employees with the 2026 graduation ceremony for its English program. Eight employees graduated this year

The program dates back to 2015, when Cambria CEO Marty Davis found that employees with limited English had few opportunities for advancement beyond entry-level positions and decided Cambria would help change that.
Davis stipulated that the program would be free and students would be required to earn their certificates through rigorous testing.
“Mastering a new language is one of the most-difficult personal growth challenges an individual can undertake,” says Dave Biron, senior vide president of plant operations. “Their achievement is a testament to the potential within each of our employees and we are honored to celebrate this milestone.”
More than 500 employees benefited from participating in the program. Fifty-one employees are currently enrolled, and 81 officially graduated, with 39 graduates stepping directly into higher-level, higher-paying roles within the company.
As of June 2026, the program boasts a 48% internal promotion rate.
The program includes two full-time English teachers and a full-time curriculum developer. Classes take place twice weekly during regular work hours, and employees receive full pay while attending. Instruction is delivered across all divisions of the company.
In addition to enhanced workplace communication, more confidence, better understanding of safety regulations and greater collaboration across teams, the classes have benefits beyond work.
All program alumni and the upcoming junior class were invited to celebrate this year’s graduation with refreshments, special recognition, and the making of a video about their stories.
Building on this success, last fall Cambria implemented a GED program at its Le Sueur facility, and plans to extend the program to additional Cambria locations in the future.
This fall also marks the company’s third consecutive year as a co-sponsor of a community literacy event at the Le Sueur Public Library, reinforcing the company’s belief that a stronger, more literate community benefits everyone.
