ISFA to Hold Porcelain Fab Training
MILLBURY, Mass. – The International Surface Fabricators Association (ISFA) will hold a porcelain-fabrication training session here on Aug. 5.

The training at Discover Surfaces in Millbury will move through the full porcelain fabrication process—from material handling and inspection to cutting, fabrication, installation, and finishing.
The training will cover waterjet- and bridge-saw-cutting techniques, feed rates, blade selection, sink cutouts, mitering and seaming, adhesives, and real-world installation applications.
Every participant will gain hands-on experience working through key applications, including:
- Porcelain cutting with proper feed rates and tension release techniques;
- Sink cutouts, L-shapes, corners, and overhang fabrication;
- Miter cutting and seaming methods;
- Adhesive application for interior and exterior use (including live demo);
- Countertop, sink, and shower installation best practices;
- Polishing, finishing, and edge work;
- Chip- and scratch-repair techniques; and
- Cleaning and long-term maintenance.
The session will be from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. EDT. The cost is $599 per attendee for ISFA members, and $899 for non-members.
Discover Surfaces is 44 miles west of Boston and just off the e-toll Mass Pike (I-90).
