LATICRETE Joins with German Profile Maker

BETHANY, Conn. — LATICRETE acquired a majority stake in fuma-Bautec, a German profile manufacturer, earlier this month.

fuma-Bautec, based in Lüdinghausen, Germany, has been the exclusive profile supplier of LATICRETE for the United States and Canadian markets. The acquisition allows the companies to expand capabilities in developing profiles and engineered systems worldwide.

Founded in the early 2000s, fuma-Bautec produces tile rails and tile profiles in stainless steel, aluminum, brass and PVC. The company’s specialty products also include LED profiles for flooring and stair treads.

The acquisition further underscores the LATICRETE objective of delivering the most-comprehensive installation systems with a leading warranty.
